On behalf of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, there was drafted a bill increasing penalties for illegal production and turnover of alcohol products. According to the authors of the bill, the high profitability of the business for illicit production and trafficking of ethyl alcohol and alcohol products, production and trafficking of tobacco products, as well as a sufficiently low level of administrative penalties for committing them, are reasons the increasing number of these acts.
