Russia: the war destroys the beer business

 Sales Group SABMiller in Russia have fallen by half over the last two years . The Group expects a further fall. Plant in Donetsk was closed completely, according cznews.info.

"The volume of beer sold in Russia, is only half of the past performance of any foreign business there now fighting, we already go down to the bottom," - said Sue Clark, head of the European branch of SABMiller, owner of the Czech Plzeňský Prazdroj.
"The Russian government is fighting alcoholism. All street stalls are closed, where people buy beer after work and drink it in the subway. The government has also changed the requirements for packaging",- said Clark. According to her, the consumption this year will drop even more because of the weak ruble and the difficult economic situation.
